Łukasz Bugajski

Łukasz Bugajski is a security and intelligence expert, investigative journalist, and whistleblower with many years of experience working with public sector institutions in Poland and across Europe, delivering solutions in security, threat analysis, counterintelligence, corruption investigations, and the multidimensional protection of strategic interests in high-risk environments.

Born in Wrocław, Poland, Łukasz has built his career on operational excellence, analytical rigour, investigative courage, and an unwavering commitment to client protection and institutional accountability. He is a certified auditor, professional trainer, Middle East analyst, investigative journalist, and commentator on geopolitics, cybersecurity, intelligence services, and corruption. In 2011, he was awarded the Interia.pl Prize in the category of "Investigative Journalism" in recognition of his outstanding work in uncovering critical security and intelligence matters. He also served as an observer with the ISAF mission in Afghanistan, gaining firsthand operational experience in conflict zones.

Since 2015, Łukasz has worked alongside a team of specialists from across Europe to safeguard clients through comprehensive intelligence and security services. In 2022–2024, Łukasz played a central role in exposing one of the most significant corruption and illegal surveillance scandals in recent Polish history, the so-called "Lubin Affair" (Afera Lubińska), which revealed systematic abuses within Poland's Internal Security Agency (ABW) during the PiS government.

In July 2024, Łukasz formally submitted official notifications and evidence, including audio recordings and documentation, to the highest authorities in Poland: the Minister of Interior and Coordinator of Special Services, Prime Minister, President, Minister of Justice, the National Prosecutor's Office, and the leadership of the ABW. His evidence demonstrated that corrupt ABW officers had exceeded their authority, deployed illegal surveillance techniques without judicial authorisation, manipulated evidence, and conducted repressive operations against anyone who raised alarms about organised crime networks.

As a direct result of Łukasz's courageous whistleblowing and the subsequent investigations, several high-level agents were forced to resign from the ABW. The Deputy Chief of ABW was also removed from his position. Two separate criminal investigations are currently ongoing.

Łukasz's whistleblowing has been widely recognized as an act of exceptional civic courage and institutional accountability, exposing systemic corruption within Poland's intelligence services and affirming his commitment to transparency, rule of law, and the protection of democratic institutions.
